Sergeant First Class Matthew Walker is a Military Science Instructor for the University of Michigan’s Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program.

C Co. 3rd Battalion 21st Infantry of the 25th Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, WA, as a Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Assistant Battalion Operations Sergeant, Schools NCO and Taskings NCO. Eagle Co. 2nd Squadron, 2nd Stryker Calvary Regiment, Vilseck, Germany as a Stryker Commander and Platoon Sergeant. Operational Test Command (OTC) Fort Benning, GA, as a Research Test Development and Evaluation NCO.
Sergeant First Class Walker deployed in support of the following: Operation Dessert Fox, Intrinsic Action (Kuwait); Operation Iraqi Freedom IV and VII (Iraq); Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan); Multiple rotations to Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), and National Training Center (NTC).
