Discover what ROTC Is All About
The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) is a college-based program for training commissioned officers of the United States Army.

01
leadership excellence
The Wolverine Battalion provides a foundation of leadership that lasts a lifetime. Our training, a combination of classroom instruction, physical training, and field exercises, prepares Cadets to become the next generation of leaders in their communities.
02
The Michigan Difference
The Wolverine Battalion is distinguished from every other ROTC program in the country. Ranked #1 in 2024 against 33 other programs, Michigan cadets have access to world-class training that integrates all aspects of leadership and character development. Our graduates leave at the top of their peer groups.

03
Student First
At the Wolverine Battalion, Cadets are first and foremost students. Cadet life at Michigan is close to that of a typical college student. Our program adds leadership development, military skills, and physical fitness to a traditional college education.
